Production. B-25 "Billy Mitchell" bombers. This North American B-25 "Billy Mitchell" bomber, similar to the type used to bomb Tokyo, has established an unique combat record in several theaters of war. Lieutenant General Henry H. Arnold, Deputy Chief of Staff for Air said the B-25 can "go farther, faster and carry more bombs than the best ships of our enemy." The plane is flying near the Inglewood, California, plant in which it was made. In addition to the battle-tested B-25, this plant produces the P-51 "Mustang" fighter plane which was first brought into prominence by the British raid on Dieppe
