At the weapons trailer an Air Force munitions loader from the 28th Air Expeditionary Wing, preps Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), base on the Mk-84 2,000-pound bomb, to load on a B-1B Lancer bomber during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. B-1B bombers have dropped over 3.8 million pounds of weapons and over 60 percent of all JDAMs to date. Operation ENDURING FREEDOM is in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), fighting terrorism abroad, after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 at the New York World Trade Center and the Pentagon
