Tecnical Sergeant (TSGT) Richard Ryan, a supply technician at Beale AFB, California lived in Bagdad while a member of the United Nations team inspecting Irag's weapons programs in 1998. TSGT Ryan acted as chief of supply while assinged to the UNSCOM (United Nations Special Commission), and descirbes the harsh conditions and uncooperativeness of the Iraq people during site inspections in AIRMAN Magazine/July 1999 - Article "Iraq Bivouac", by TSGT Pat McKenna. TSGT Ryan also depicts life in Bagdad and the conditions for the locals. He closes the article with how proud he is to be an American and how we take for granted the opportunites we have here
