Women's History Month, New London Connecticut
Summary
Coast Guard Capt. Diane Durham, former Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Cutter Forward and presently the Chief of Professional Development at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., addresses students from the Borough of Manhattan Community College during a Women's History Month event titled "Women Veterans", March 21, 2012 in New York City. Durham's crew was pressed into action in response to a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck less than 15 miles from the Caribbean city. They completed numerous missions including search and rescue, air traffic control, critical port assessments, damage assessment overflights and medical evacuations.
