Vilhelm Melbye - Rheden ved Alicante i Spanien, aftenbelysning

The experts at Bruun Rasmussen rather conveniently left out the middle part of the title used at Charlottenborg, catalog no. 122, Tilhøire i Billedet det engelske Linieskib »Edgar« (To the right the english ship of the line Edgar). Because that vessel is nowhere to be seen. So the title could have been wrong in 1863, or this is not the same painting. The exhibition catalog (in Danish) is here: kunstbib.dk.
