Summary
An F/A-18C Hornet piloted by Cmdr. Gerald Hansen, the outgoing commanding officer of the Dambusters of Strike Fighter Squadron 195, launches flares after detaching from a formation at the conclusion of the in-flight change of command ceremony above the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. Hansen was relieved by Cmdr. David Culpepper during the ceremony. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft is conducting its summer tour helping to insure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
