CORONADO, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2007) - The orange glow of fires burning in San Diego County can be seen over the amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1) and other ships moored at Naval Base San Diego. The numerous fires in San Diego County currently threaten no Navy facilities. However, Navy Region Southwest has established several Military Evacuation Centers for Navy families who have been forced to evacuate their homes. U.S. Navy photo by CDR Jane Campbell (RELEASED)
