CHANGI NAVAL BASE, Singapore (Jul. 15, 2012) U.S. Coast Guardsmen assigned to the national security cutter USCGC Waesche (WMSL 751) heave on mooring lines while nesting the ship to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) pierside at Changi Naval Base, Singapore. Waesche and Sampson are at Changi Naval Base for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Singapore 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
