description

Summary

U.S. Army Reserve Engineers with the 672nd Engineer Company from Missoula, Mont., and Navy Seabees with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 from Port Hueneme, Calif., apply stucco to the side of a building they constructed as part of a disaster search zone, a mock town intended to replicate a community devastated by disaster. The disaster search zone is part of the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation's National Training Center (NTC) in Santa Paula, Calif. The NTC is the first facility of its kind in the United States, a comprehensive set of props designed to provide realistic disaster scenarios for training canine search dog teams.
