US COAST GUARD UNDERWATER TRAINING

SANDWICH, Mass. (Oct. 29, 2005) Coast Guard Petty Officer Third Class Alex Parrey gets a final bit of instruction before being flipped upside-down as part of a water survival training course at the YMCA pool here. The chair he is strapped to simulates a helicopter seat and harness. Parrey successfully completed the course through which he learned how to effectively unbuckle and exit a helicopter in the event of a crash into the water.
