Summary

Satire on the Stamp Act showing a scene on the sea shore. In the centre, the figure of America with Britannia leaning on his shoulder. On the right, George Grenville, rushes towards America, sword drawn, crying "I'l Enforce" but is restrained by William Pitt holding the staff and cap of liberty who tells him, "You have no right". On the left, Lord Mansfield holding a dagger and with a snake in his bosom, creeps up on America, directed by Lord Bute but held back by Charles Pratt who calls out "no General Warrants". 1765
