Leading Stoker Shaw and Boy Batty aboard HMS Royal Oak. Shaw was presented with a gold watch, subscribed for by the Ship's Company, for saving the life of Boy Batty, who fell overboard on the night of 15 December 1915 and was rescued by Shaw. Shaw showing Batty the watch.
