Summary
A satire on the 1768 election in Norwich; Thirteen men in a room, at the centre is Thomas Beevor, independent candidate for Norwich, a man with the face of a boar is jumping on his back; on the lefthand side three of the men are around a table, signing a piece of paper saying 'Let me Sign/ this Junction will silence Beevors Pretentions'; outside the window a crowd is gathered shouting 'Beevor forever'; more people are trying to force their way in; the image relates to attempts to undermine the campaign of Thomas Beevor, who was favoured by the people, by pursuading the independent MP Harbord Harbord to stand as a Whig;
