Satire on the alleged corruption of Newcastle's administration (sitting at a table laid with sources of taxation) suggesting that the increase in taxes was benefitting ministers personally rather than funding the war; Admiral Byng is shown, on the left, claiming that his failure at Minorca was due to lack of government support; Fox on the right, as an organ grinder with a boy soldier (after figures in BM Satires 2632), encourages recruitment; Pitt and his followers in the background to right lament that they are excluded from benefitting.
