Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot was a French painter of the 19th century, known for his landscape paintings. He was a leading member of the Barbizon school of painters, a group of artists who worked in the forest of Fontainebleau near Paris. Corot's works are characterized by relatively loose brushwork.
