The crew completed its ninth day of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts by participating in humanitarian assistance for the victims of the storm. The Navys involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
