Charles T. P. Ulm was a co-pilot for Charles Kingsford-Smith when they crossed the Pacific Ocean in the Fokker F.VII 3m aeroplane, Southern Cross. They flew from Oakland in California, stopping at Honolulu and Suva, landing in Brisbane at Eagle Farm on 10 June 1928.
