Ships moored at Petrie Bight, looking south towards Town Reach. Visible on the east side of the Bight are the firms: Castlemaine Brewery and Quinlan, Gray and Co. Ltd; and Joliffe and Co. Ltd, coach builders. Towards Town Reach are the firms: S. Hoffnung and Co. Ltd., merchants; and Q. R. Paull, Ltd., merchants. Ship in centre of photo has five? masts. Petrie Bight was also known as Petrie's Bight.
