Summary
613 GRT passenger sail- and steamship City of Hobart, built in 1854 by T Wingate & Co of Glasgow for the Tasmanian Steam Navigation Company. W Summerbell bought her in 1875 and had her converted into a collier. She sank on 25 July 1877 about 60 nautical miles off Wilson's Promontory when her propeller shaft broke and water entered her holds.
