Summary

Stamp of the United Arab Emirates – Emirate Dubai; 1970; commemorative stamp of the issue "Children’s Day 1970 – Paintings" (Arab Children’s Day 1970 = 14 June 1970); Stamp with the painting by Louis Ducis (1775-1847) with the title "The Emperor Napoleon I on the terace at the Château de Saint-Cloud surrounded by his children" (painting created in 1810 in the style of the French Genre-paintery (portraits) (contemporary location: "Réunion des Musées Nationaux" or "Palace Museum" in Versailles (France)) (The painter has later created artworks in the style of the Neoclassicism.); This stamp was postmarked by CTO.

Note:
The Emirate Dubai was 1892-1971 British and belonged to the "Trucial States" in Southeast Arabia. From 2 December 1971 onwards it was a part of the new founded independing "United Arabian Emirates (UAE)". Dubai has issued own stamps 1963-1973 (All stams were valid to the 31 March 1973.).
