This portrait of Sir Frederic Leighton is from “Artists at Home: Photographed by J. P. Mayall, and Reproduced in Facsimile by Photo-engraving on Copper Plates,” published in London by Sampson Low, Marston, Searle and Rivington in 1884. It shows Leighton in the studio of his house at 2 Holland Park Road. A maquette for his sculpture "Athlete Wrestling with a Python" stands on the table to his right.
