Summary
The wooden town sign in Sheringham, Norfolk was erected in 1977 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee. Bearing the town's motto 'Mare Ditat Pinusque Decorat' translated from latin to mean 'The sea enriches and the pine adorns'. The sign depicts a heraldic helmet, pine cone, ship, seaweed and a crab.
