BUENAVENTURA, Colombia (Jul. 11, 2015) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Luke Peet, center, from Bakersfield, Calif., assigned to the Admiral Joel T. Boone Branch Health Clinic in Virginia Beach, Va., and Lt. Cmdr. David Cepeda, a microbiologist assigned to Navy Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit-2 in Norfolk, Va., teach a class on mosquito control during a subject matter expert exchange at a local hospital in support of Continuing Promise 2015. Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
