DETROIT (Jul. 19, 2011) Sailors assigned to Navy Recruiting District Michigan, the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), the guided-missile submarine USS Michigan (SSGN 727) and Navy Operational Support Center Detroit salute during the national anthem during Navy Night at Comerica Park in Detroit. The ceremony was part of Detroit Navy Week 2011, one of 21 Navy Weeks this year across the country. Navy Weeks are intended to showcase the investment Americans have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
