(Jul. 07, 2016) Sailors assigned to U.S. Naval Station Mayport perform duties as line handlers as the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Hatsuki-class destroyer JDS Kashima (TV 3508) moors pier side. The Kashima is the flagship for the JMSDF Training Squadron and deployed from Tokyo, Japan with two other ships as part of an around-the-world deployment designed to train newly commissioned Japanese ensigns.
