U.S. 5th FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Apr. 28, 2017) Sailors assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Hue City (CG 66) visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) team and U.S. Coast Guardsmen assigned to the Maritime Security Response Team navigate rigid-hull inflatable boats from the ship and approach a vessel to conduct a VBSS exercise. Hue City is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
