MEDITERRANEAN SEA (May. 14, 2011) Sailors and Marines assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) participate in a visit, board, search and seizure exercise with the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52). Mesa Verde is deployed as part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
