SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jul. 24, 2013) Sailors aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) watch a fuel line connect from the Military Sealift Command Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Singapore 2013. More than 700 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Singapore. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
