The PASSEX involved conducting a mock fueling at sea (FAS) as well as other maritime drills aimed at enhancing Japan's maritime defense abilities. Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 14 are underway in support of operations in the western Pacific.
