Operations Specialist Seaman Apprentice Elizabeth A. Dougherty, from Newnan, Ga., interacts with a rescued dog during a community relations event where Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) visited the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Singapore. Dewey is in Singapore for a scheduled port visit as part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group. Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
