Appeared in May 17, 1884, issue of Harper's Weekly. Original print contains the following sketches: Graded School Building (5 13/16 x 2 9/16); Lord Cornwallis's Head-Quarters (3 7/16 x 3), showing building identified as Southern Cigar Factory; Tryon Street, Looking Southwest, (9 1/4 x 5), showing busy street scene with wagons, people, storefronts, and businesses; Residence of Colonel William Johnston, Mayor of Charlotte (6 7/8 x 5 15/16), showing view of house from street with onlookers posing on sidewalk in front; and Presbyterian Church (2 11/16 x 4 3/4).
