Modern Gothic church in open country, square tower and spire, statue of warrior with harp in foreground (23588024340)
Summary
This morning to start the Christmas season we open with a church described as "Modern Gothic". It looks a solid construction and of dark limestone, but we hadn't confirmed the location.
With thanks especially to [/photos/91549360@N03/ O Mac] that was quickly remedied, and it was confirmed as Saint Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Ballymoney, County Antrim - which as OMac points out is also captured in a Lawrence shot. The suggestion seems to be that this image dates to the late 1870s - perhaps close to the time of the church's official opening and dedication....
