Members of the Kyushu Defense Bureau and Marines with 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, hold a press conference at the Hijudai Maneuver Area Feb. 9. The conference allowed both parties to mitigate any fears the local community might have in response to the training. Both parties answered question about the live-fire training, the media day and types of safety measures taken.
