Anne-François-Louis Janmot (1814-1892) was a French painter and poet associated with the Symbolist movement. He was born in Lyon, France and trained as an artist under the famous painter Ingres. Janmot's early works were influenced by the Romantic movement and depicted historical and mythological scenes.
