Print shows a slightly elevated view of the exterior of the Libby Prison building, with the front of the building facing left, a woman with a child walking on the lower left, and a man riding in a horsedrawn wagon at lower center, and with a ship at dock on the river behind the building on the right; prisoners are visible through the bars on the near end of the prison.
