Letter from Nathaniel Peabody Rogers, Concord, [New Hampshire], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]41 July 16th
Summary
Nathaniel Peabody Rogers writes to William Lloyd Garrison urging him to visit the White Mountains with him. Rogers describes his plan to "show you the outline of my views at Plymouth & then go with you to the great mountains." He asks Garrison about his family and tells him that he has "had a visitation of cholera" while other family members have been ill with scarlet fever. Rogers also states, "Anti Slavery warfare going on", before discussing the activities of [John] Pierpont. In the postscript, Rogers tells Garrison, "You are the only person .. I love to write to well enough to attempt it."
