Letter from Amos Augustus Phelps, Brooklyn, to Ransom G. Williams, 1845 December 18
Summary
Amos A. Phelps writes to Ransom G. Williams that he cannot attend the meeting in Washington, due to his health, as well as some requirements to be met. He gives a list of tasks to be completed in connection with “the Reporter,” which includes sending out “an appeal to abolitionists all over the country to re-organize the old societies or form new,” securing large conventions, securing proper office spaces for himself and the paper, and so forth.
