The unit invited family members and friends to experience a day of several brief military experiences similar to those that Marines and sailors live every day. Long, 21, from Sterling, Ill., is an embarkation specialist serving with Combat Logistics Battalion 11, which is scheduled to deploy as the 11th MEU's logistics combat element later this year.
