KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- An L-1011 aircraft called the Stargazer lands at the Skid Strip, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Underneath its belly it carries the Orbital Sciences Corp. Pegasus XL launch vehicle with the High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (HESSI) attached. The Pegasus XL will launch the HESSI no earlier than June 12 from CCAFS.
