(Juliet & the nurse-) (BM 1978,U.358)
Summary
A stout and ugly duenna, Spanish in type, and perhaps after Goya, sits full-face holding a fan, with lowered eyes as if asleep, one foot thrust awkwardly forward and upturned. A rosary hangs from her waist. A tall slim young girl looks over her right shoulder, left hand on the back of the oddly drawn chair.
