Joint Emergency responders worked together in a series

Joint Emergency responders worked together in a series of Emergency Response Exercises, Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia. Included in the exercise were Airman from the Michigan Air National Guard, Army Reserve personnel from the 407th Civil Affairs Battalion, counterparts from the Latvian Air Force, and Latvian State Fire Department (City of Ogre). The exercises tested incident command and triage procedures. Michigan and Latvia have been aligned under the U.S. State Department, U.S. Department of Defense, and National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program since 1993.
