Mary Philbin - American actress of the silent film era of the 1910s and 1920s, born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1902. She is best known for her role as Christine in the 1925 film version of "The Phantom of the Opera" directed by Rupert Julian. Movies: "The Miracle Man" (1919), "The Penitentes" (1923).
