Charles Courtney Curran (1861–1942) was an American painter. At the center of Charles Curran's work are women, flowers, and children. He devoted his life to portraying them in bright daylight outdoors. “What normal person can contemplate a blooming garden or a hillside, which nature has adorned with wildflowers, without feeling joy?” he wrote. His goal as an artist was to convey these emotions on canvas.
