Elizabeth Scott, left, and Lauryn Scott, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni residents, cook tempura during a Japanese cooking class at Santopia in Otake, Japan, July 25, 2017. During the class, participants learned new techniques to aid in their cooking such as using mayonnaise to help tempura batter stick to vegetables.
