Douglas A-1H Skyraider of VA-176 aboard USS Intrepid (CVS-11) in 1966, follwing a barrier crash

A U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider (BuNo 134472) of Attack Squadron 176 (VA-176) "Thunderbolts" being placed on the starboard deck-edge elevator of the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11), following a barrier landing. VA-176 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 10 (CVW-10) aboard the Intrepid for a deployment to Vietnam from 4 April to 21 November 1966.
This aircraft later served with the U.S. Air Force (1st Special Operations Squadron) and with the South Vietnamese Air Force (518th Fighter Squadron). It is today on display at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum, marked as A-1J 142072.
