Distinguished visitors (DVs) learn about the Enemy
Summary
Distinguished visitors (DVs) learn about the Enemy Prisoner of War 2 training area on South Post on June 28, 2017, as part of the Guardian Justice DV Day tour at Fort McCoy, Wis. The visitors included Wisconsin state Rep. Nancy Vandermeer, Monroe County Sheriff Scott Perkins, Sparta Police Chief David Kuderer, and others who learned about how the Guardian Justice exercise is coordinated and completed at Fort McCoy. Guardian Justice is an Army Reserve exercise that develops and sustains a military police Soldier’s technical skills by focusing on internment and resettlement operations, which is one of five military police doctrinal functions. The exercise also addresses detainee operations, dislocated civilian operations, population and resource control, and U.S. military prisoner handling. The exercise began at Fort McCoy in early June.
