A delicate little curving plant i foot high, bearing small green flowers which droop-gracefully by twos and threes $o 15 $1 00 P. giganteum (Solomon's Seal). Quite similar to the last species, only much larger in every way, being from 3 to 8 feet high, the peduncles three to five flowered 15 i 00 RUDBECKIA fulgida (Cone Flower). From 5 to 15 inches high ; large yellow flowers, with a black cone-like center 15 75 SANGUINARIA Canadensis (Blood Root). This beautiful little perennial, only 4 to 10 inches high, is worthy a place in every garden ; its large pure white flowers are produced in abundance, and a large strong clump makes a showy display 15 i 00 SAXIFRAGA leucanthemifolia. This is a beautiful plant, the irregular white flowers, spotted with yellow, being supplemented by the bright pink anthers of the protruding stamens 20 r 50 SCUTELLARIA. Two species. Pretty plants with blue or white flowers in long heads 15 i 00 SEDUM telephoides (Orpine). 6 to 10 inches. A fine plant, with thick fleshy leaves and clusters of flesh-colored flowers. A splendid plant for the rockery. 20 2 00 SILENE Virginica (Fire Pink). A diffuse showy plant, with the brightest crim- son flowers an inch in diameter, from June to September. 6 to 15 inches ... 15 1 00 SILPHIUM laciniatum.
