Summary
David Rodgers (circa 1865-1923) was a master shipfitter who managed the Skinner & Eddy Corp. shipyard in Seattle from 1916 until 1919. Under Rodgers’ management, the crew broke production speed records for ship construction and completed more ships for the U.S. war effort than any other American shipyard. Rodgers retired from the shipyards in 1919 due to health issues arguably related to his exhausting work schedule, and died in 1923 at 58 years old.
