Cottonwood Creek, Sunday April 10th 1859
Summary
Drawing shows a man sketching while seated on a saddle and horse blanket in a field. Cows and horses graze in the tall grass to the left. In the distance, upon the horizon, is a log cabin to the right and tents and the tops of covered wagons on the left. Cottonwood Creek is in eastern Kansas on the Santa Fe trail. Jenks camped at Cottonwood Creek on April 10, 1859.
