New Orleans (Jan. 18, 2007) Commanding Officer Capt. Scott Beyer, Naval Support Activity New Orleans, receives the Zulu coconut from Larry Hammond, 2007 King of the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, and Clarence Becknell, Zulu Historian. Club members came to the base to give personnel a glimpse into the private world of the Zulu club and thank them for their military service. Military personnel received souvenirs from the club and special invites to many of the clubs exclusive Mardi Gras parties.
